Our Why
Smudge & Co - founded by Adele Batten, est 2026.
Smudge & Co was born from something very special to me. When my first niece arrived, I was completely smitten. I spent so much time with her in those early days — helping out, cuddling her, changing her, dressing her and just being part of the everyday moments that come with a new baby.
Being so involved in those early days, I quickly realised that many baby clothes looked sweet but weren’t always practical for everyday life with a newborn.
That experience planted the seed for Smudge & Co.

Our vision is simple - to create and curate baby pieces that are both beautiful and practical for everyday life. At Smudge & Co, we focus on softer, better-quality materials and timeless designs that prioritise comfort, practicality and durability. Because baby clothing should feel good, work well and make everyday care just that little bit easier.
